It's been a busy couple of weeks and on the last leg of my "tour" of Europe. Touched down in Ljubljana (have to look at a piece of paper everytime to spell it) today to scorching 30 deg celsius temperatures!!! I'm so gonna melt in Singapore when I go back. Apart from the wonderful weather, I also had another different experience - no passport control going through the airport!!! Got my passport scrutinised like a criminal at Switzerland passport control while everybody else breezed past but didn't even have to take it out of my bag in Slovenia.... how strange..... but my impression of this EU country has been great so far. Btw, think I am officially the only Asian person in this city. There was a Chinese guy on the plane but haven't seen him since, and people just keep staring. Dunno if it's because I is Chinese or cos I am a girl. Alone. Explored the Old Town a little this evening but it's Sunday and really crowded. Think I shall do a bit more sight-seeing tomorrow morning before the meeting. Oh yeah, this is actually a work trip..... better do some swotting up tonight too.
Am very amused by old people tour groups, can't really explain it but they are quite cute. Saving seats for friends on the bus from departure gate to plane, wearing their badges so they don't get lost, getting very excitable when the luggage comes round the carousel..... On the other hand am not impressed by the layout of the CDG airport. You would think arriving at terminal 2E and having to catch the connecting flight in 2D isn't that far away. Nooooo..... it's freakin' miles away! I mean, for goodness sakes, there's a whole TGV station in between it. LOOK!

Have also concluded that the time you check in has no bearing on where you sit or what kind of seat you get. Asked for a window seat and the check-in guy said "you can have 1A". I thought he was taking the piss..... isn't that the pilot's seat?? Then had a Chandler moment where I wanted to ask him if it would give me access to the Business Lounge but realised he wouldn't get the joke. Selective humour.
Jon's graduated...... CONGRATULATIONS BROTHER!!!!!
