Hopp Holland!

Wasn't able to blog from Ireland (even though I had adventures to blog about) so instead bring you greetings from Switzerland!!! Was a little wary of football crowds after Manchester's invasion by the Rangers fans but turns out that was an anomaly.... it is much better here!! Haven't seen that many crowds anyway cos am always safely tucked in the apartment by the time KO occurs. Went to Zurich on Sunday just before Schweiz took on the mighty Portugal, first won a free keychain by naming four of the footballers on display at the bahnhof (I named 2, bro named 2, dad took a picture, and all 3 of us got a keychain each), then got a free "support switzerland" t-shirt. Actually.... we ended up with 6 shirts between the 5 of us. Singaporeans..... what did u expect??

Turns out Lucerne is like Manchester - it's RAINING all day long.... this is not what I signed up for. Again, wardrobe is not equipped for this sort of thing outside the M60.

Leaving on 19th which is when the 1st quarter-finals will be held, coincidentally in Basel too. Hoping for more free things, or at least shall go get a Euro 2008 drinking vessel. Despite Turkey's miraculous comeback last night, I fear they will not be lucky twice. I do like how the Dutch are playing so shall support the Oranjes instead! Will post some pictures up soon.
